Выше Хвалынска маршрут идет близко к берегу Саратовского водохранилища Волги, иногда – прямо вдоль воды (коастеринг). Оползневые берега, интересный рельеф. Чуть северней Хвалынска маршрут выходит на экотропы национального парка Хвалынский, с оборудованными стоянками и указателями. Суммарный набор высоты в этот день – около 1200 метров.

Первая треть этой части маршрута идет вдоль Хвалынских гор, по опушкам сосновых лесов и по белым меловым склонам холмов. Это менее известная и малопосещаемая часть национального парка "Хвалынский". Затем, через пустынные проселочные дороги путь приводит к новому лесному массиву и горе "Попова Шишка", а вскоре после этого, в урочище "Серебряков Дол" - поворачивает на юг, к г. Вольск и к берегу Волги. Суммарный набор высоты в этот день – около 1160 метров.

Then, through deserted country roads, the path leads to a new large forest, hill «Popova Shishka», and shortly afterwards, in the Serebryakov Dol tract, it turns south, to the city of Volsk and again to the banks of the Volga. Elevation gain during this day is about 1160 м.

День 3 (120-180км).
В этот день маршрут идет через населенные места, но и здесь много интересного. Стоит упомянуть Вольские меловые карьеры — огромные кратеры многолетних выработок для местных цементных заводов. С течением времени они заново покрылись растительностью, в них образовались озера. Маршрут проходит прямо по улицам Вольска, по его историческому центру, можно пополнить запас продуктов. Несмотря на это, суммарный набор высоты в этот день – около 1180 метров. .
Day 3 (120-180km).
On this day, the route goes through populated areas, but there are a lot of interesting things here. Worth mentioning are the Volsky Cretaceous quarries - huge craters of long-term mine workings for local cement plants. Over time, they again covered with vegetation, lakes formed in them. The route runs right through the streets of Volsk, in its historical center, you can replenish the supply of products. Despite all this, the total climb on this day is about 1,180 meters.

День 4 (180-240км).
Через Змеевы горы, вдоль высоких волжских обрывов, в долину реки Елшанка, ныне пустынную, но местые жители вспомнят исчезнувшую деревню на 7 родниках, покажут тяжеленный мельничный жернов, изготовленный во Франции, в Париже — на телеге не привезти, река была судоходной! Лет 200 назад.. Суммарный набор высоты в этот день – всего 613 метров. Этап заканчивается бродом через реку Терешка.

Маршрут уходит все дальше на северо-запад и все дальше от волжских берегов, через холмы и небольшие отдельные леса. Цель дня — еще один памятник природы, реликтовое моховое болото, самое южное в этой части страны. Суммарный набор высоты в этот день – 880 метров.

Маршрут этого дня проходит мимо туристических объектов в селе Лох — это Кудеярова пещера и старинная водяная мельница. Отсюда маршрут поворачивает, теперь уже окончательно, на юг, по долине реки Чардым и далее — на старинное, с 300-летней историей, село Сокур с красивым овражным ландшафтом. Суммарный набор высоты в этот день – 800 метров.
Day 6 (300-360km).

From here, the route turns, now finally, to the south, along the Chardym river valley and then to the old, with a 300-year history, Sokur village with a beautiful ravine landscape. The total climb on this day is 800 meters.

Еще 60 километров на юг. Через сосновые и березовые леса окрестностей сел Вязовка, Большая Каменка и Идолга, – к мощной овражной системе в верховьях р. Курдюм и далее, к истокам р. Сосновка. Окончание этапа – на территории питомника сибиских хаски Dogwinter, где есть услуги кемпинга, можно зарядить аппаратуру и (по договоренности) пополнить запас продуктов. Суммарный набор высоты в этот день – 760 метров.
Day 7 (360-420km).

Маршрут возвращается к побережью Волги. Глубокие овраги с крутыми склонами, интересный оползневой рельеф – в этом районе не раз проводились чемпионаты России по спортивному ориентированию. Суммарный набор высоты в этот день – 740 метров.

Вдоль Волги и по-прежнему – на юг. Маршрут проходит тропами и дорогами по верхней кромке глубоких долин, виды роскошные! Поскольку побережье по-прежнему рассечено глубокими оврагами, тропа идет высоко над рекой. Здесь нужно внимательно относится к запасу воды – найти ее можно далеко не везде, а спуск на берег Волги и обратный подъем отнимут много сил и времени. Суммарный набор высоты в этот день – 750 метров.
Day 9(480-540km).
Along the Volga and still to the south. The route runs along trails and roads along the upper edge of deep valleys, the views are magnificent! Since the coast is still cut by deep ravines, the trail goes high above the river. Here you need to be careful about the supply of water - you can find it far from everywhere, and the descent to the Volga and the return climb will take a lot of time and energy. The total climb on this day is 750 meters.

День 10 (540-570км).
В заключительной части маршрут проходит через особо охраняемую природную территорию - природный парк «Нижнебанновский». Этот район хорошо освоен трейлраннерами, здесь уже 3 года проходит SAMBA-TRAIL, с дистанциями до 90 км (4 балла ITRA). По этим тропам, пересекающим самые красивые участки парка, и проложено окончание долгого пути. Меловые обрывы и сосновые редколесья, утес Степана Разина, Овраг-Тюрьма, Дурман-Гора... Суммарный набор высоты на заключительных 32 км — 850 метров.
Маршрут заканчивается за Дурман-горой, в устье Даниловской балки, на берегу красивого волжского залива. На другом берегу — уже Волгоградская область и, возможно, совсем другой трейл-маршрут...
Day 10(540-570km).
In the final part, the route passes through a specially protected natural area - the Nizhnebannovsky nature park. This area is well mastered by trail runners, SAMBA-TRAIL has been running here for 3 years now, with distances of up to 90 km (4 ITRA points). Along these paths crossing the most beautiful sections of the park, the end of a long journey has been laid. Cretaceous cliffs and pine woodlands, Cliff of Stepan Razin, Ravine Prison, Durman Mountain .. The total climb to the final 32 km - 850 meters.
The route ends beyond Durman Mountain, at the mouth of the Danilovskaya ravine, on the banks of the beautiful small bay of Volga. On the other side there is already the Volgograd region and, possibly, a completely different trail route ..
